BENDY & FLEXY (Flexibility/No Pole/Bring Your Own Mat)
see all reviewsLove the vibes here - everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and lots of smiles made me feel more comfortable! Katrina was a really considerate, nice, and easy to follow instructor too. I liked the dance focused stretches with mini “choreos” that made me feel empowered and prettier :)

see all reviewsLOVED IT! I happened to be the only one in the class and it was such a great experience! Mary let me pick a song and we choreographed to it according to my skills. She challenged me with some beautiful holds and tricks, and encouraged me with my flow. The studio is beautiful and cozy, each person has their stage. I’ve never tried silicone poles before and they are such a help for a beginner! I’d recommend wearing leggings or pants for this kind of pole! Will be coming back for suuure!

see all reviewsThere’s available parking and the space is big enough space for 8 or 9 poles. During the winter season the space will start off cold but once you’re in it, you’ll break a sweat. It’s not intimidating at all, Carmen has a lot of experience and may use dance terms a dancer may not know, but always asks if the class has any questions. It’s super casual, the choreo isn’t planned with specific songs, and requests are taken. So bring your favorite ratchet or sensual tunes. I never touched a pole prior to this, there was one person who had 30+ sessions and everyone else was new so I’ll say 2 things. 1) no issue with whether the choreo was too beginner or complex, you can practice in between at your own pace and 2) I’d have hoped for more direction where to leave your stuff, socks or no, heels, barefoot, know to clean your pole before as well as after, and what to expect to feel after and see bruises - acknowledgement for first-timers would be cool. All in all super laid back, expect to ignite muscles you don’t think about and have fun, relax and bring out that bad B energy 🙂
