see all reviewsThis was the best class I’ve taken at Asteya and the best class I’ve taken this year. You took me out of my head and into my body. It challenged me in a way that I couldn’t anticipate what pose would be next when you first laid out the sequence. I felt my nervous system completely reset. Thank you so much. I work full time and was only able to come today because I was off and I’m so happy I came! Thank you thank you 🙏🏼 A side note would be, I know the chatter at the beginning of class can be distracting but so can the yoga sculpt music during savasana . Idk if there’s a way to sound proof that wall or something but as I was winding down I found myself ALSO wanting to do the tootsie roll with Kristin and her class… TO THE LEFT TO THE LEFT. I know it can’t all be perfect but just wanted to mention… not a reflection of today’s teaching of course 💗

see all reviewsAly was by far my favorite fitness instructor that I’ve had so far! She was energetic, kind, and personable, and she was amazing at offering both advancements and modifications. I’m glad I had her for my first ever barre class. There was zero pressure to push yourself beyond what was comfortable! I really liked that Aly would remind the class to remove weights, bands, exercise balls, etc. if it wasn’t serving you. She’s also the first instructor that I’ve had that did the entire workout along with the class; she demoed each exercise perfectly. Her flow with the music was great, and the music was turned up but never too loud—which is something I often struggle with in exercise classes since I tend to have sensory overload. I was never lost at any point. The priority was in doing what felt good for each person! Parking was incredibly easy to find, and you don’t have to pay for it. There’s a parking garage just to the left of and in the same building as barre3. There were plenty of spots reserved for just the patrons of the businesses of that building, and those are located right as you pull in, so make sure to park in one of those. Barre3 has showers, bathrooms, lockers, and towels available. They even have a safe childcare space and staff to keep an eye on your little one while you attend class. Although I don’t have children myself, I can see that being a huge bonus for parents out there that want to get in a quick workout but don’t want the hassle of arranging for a babysitter. As with the majority of exercise classes, you’ll want to get there 15 minutes in advance to settle in and be ready to start. The 45 minute class is perfect for beginners and if you feel that you haven’t built up enough stamina for a 60 minute class. If you’re a first timer and are nervous about doing a barre class, barre3 is perfect for you. As someone who’s been struggling with social anxiety and was nervous about doing fitness classes at first, I promise you’ll love barre3!
